‘Design for Start-Ups’ (TIE Workshop)

TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Bangalore invited Sonia Manchanda to conduct the ‘Design For Start-Ups’ workshop on 27th June at the Puma Auditorium.

It was attended by a group of 20 young entrepreneurs. The aim of the workshop was to demonstrate that in creating a retail brand or experience, design needs to be an integral part of the process, and not a mere afterthought. Practice design as a philosophy.

A freewheeling conversation ensued, that was brought alive by presenting successful cases and conducting quick assignments. A demonstration and reflection on the design of successful Indian retail and service brands in Food, Fashion and Beauty was presented. Participants had a glimpse into the design process, with a sharing of insights related to the Indian consumer, ways to create a powerful idea and the importance of making an implementation plan for the same.
